PUBLIC NOTICE

   Dickenson County Behavioral Health Services will destroy inactive consumer records beginning July 1, 2026, according to the Code of Virginia Section 42.1-79.  The consumer or an authorized representative will have an opportunity to request possession of their record by calling our office at 276-926-1680.  Proof of identity will be required.  Included in the purging will be adult records inactive prior to June 30, 2016. Included will be inactive Juvenile records 28 years of age. The deadline to contact will be June 30, 2026.
