    STANDARD BANNER COAL CORPORATION, OF 29059 RIVERMONT DRIVE, MEADOWVIEW, VA 24361 is applying to the Virginia Division of Mined land Reclamation for a Renewal of PERMIT No. 1202381 in order to continue the operations at the following location.
     The permit site is located 1 mile south of Wakenva on Wakenva Branch in Dickenson County, Virginia off State Route 715 within the Nora USGS quadrangle, as provided by 4VAC25-130-774.17 of the Virginia Coal Surface Mining Reclamation Regulations. The coordinates of the permit are: Latitude 38º 42’ 40” and Longitude 82º 23’ 40”.
    Drainage and wastewater from the permit area will be discharged as follows:
    1. Receiving Streams: Wakenva Branch
   2. Type of Discharge: Sedimentation ponds treating surface runoff from the site
    3. Location: Discharges are existing and may be viewed on the Renewal Map, which is attached in Section 21.2 of the application.
   Any person with a valid legal interest, which might be adversely affected by this proposal, or an officer or head of any federal, state or local government agency or authority, may within 30 days of September 16, 2026 submit written comments or objections concerning this application, and may also request, in writing, that the Division of Mined Land Repurposing hold an Informal Conference concerning this application.
